Paul Auger, Procurement Officer
After 8 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces—including two rotations overseas—Paul decided it was time for a career change.
He went back to school and earned his Dental Assistant level I + II accreditations and immediately got to work with Capital Dental in April 2016.
A part of the community
Paul enjoys the fast pace of the dental office. No two patients are alike and this diversity means that each appointment is an opportunity to meet new people. He particularly enjoys the stories that patients bring to the office.
His experience in tough situations means that he knows how to make those around him feel calm and relaxed. Communication is key to discovering the concerns held by each patient and he takes the time to really listen so he can bring the right health care to everybody he helps.
Life outside the dental office
When he’s not helping the people of Ottawa smile their best he enjoys spending time with his two children, painting miniatures, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
